South Korea Expedition (8/14)

This morning, we were blessed with the clearest skies since arriving on Jeju Island. Even at 5 PM, the game time, it was quite hot.

After waking up, I went to a nearby park for a walk and some exercises, and had breakfast after stretching.

Since the game was at 5 PM, I did some light exercise for about an hour in the morning. We practiced at the venue of yesterday's practice match, sharing the ground with Offenheim from Germany.

After doing simple ball control, passing, and heading in pairs, we split into offense and defense for training. The offense practiced shooting, and the defense confirmed their defensive movements in formations. Finally, we finished the practice with shots from crosses.

We returned to the hotel, took a shower, and had a slightly late lunch.

We left the hotel at 3 PM and headed to the ground. The ground was right by the coast, and the scenery was beautiful.

We started the first half well, pressing from the front and controlling the game.

In the 10th minute, Ota coolly slotted a shot past the goalkeeper from a pass by Gocho, opening the scoring. The opponent held possession for a bit longer, but we responded tenaciously and only faced one real threat. We did not lose any one-on-one challenges. The first half ended with the score unchanged.

In the second half, Bremen made 5 substitutions and came out aggressively, focusing on attack. Although Antlers fought with unwavering concentration, in the 10th minute of the second half, a direct free-kick led to a defensive lapse in marking, resulting in a goal conceded.

After that, the opponent had more possession for extended periods, and the game continued. However, just before entering additional time in the 30th minute of the second half, Kakita headed a shot from Yamaguchi's cross, which was initially parried by the goalkeeper, but he followed up and tapped it into the goal. A magnificent goal scored just before the whistle allowed us to regain the lead.
