Participated in the Kaneka Corporation and Kamisu City 2022 Beach Cleanup

Official partner Kaneka Corporation and club staff participated in the "Kamisu City 2022 Beach Cleanup" (hosted by the Kamisu City Beach Cleanup Executive Committee), which was held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Nikawahama Beach in Kamisu City.

From Kaneka, 76 people participated, mainly employees from the Kashima Plant. Before the beach cleanup began, Mr. Kashimura, the plant manager of Kaneka Corporation's Kashima Plant, gave an opening address.

Club mascot Shikao appeared, and Akira Narahashi, a former club player, also participated as a special guest. They not only cleaned the beach but also deepened their interaction with Kaneka employees.

The beach cleanup started at 9:00 AM. Participants spread out across the beach all at once.

Shikao and Narahashi also collected trash scattered on the beach with Kaneka employees. Even small children helped with the beach cleanup, handing trash to Shikao.

Despite the scorching heat exceeding 30℃, the beach cleanup was carried out with careful attention to heatstroke prevention, such as frequent hydration. Conversations like "It's hot, isn't it?" and "There are a lot of small plastic pieces" were heard, allowing Kaneka employees and club staff to deepen their mutual communication.

After about 45 minutes of beach cleanup, a large amount of trash was collected, including wooden chairs, plastic bottles, plastic fragments, and ropes.

Moving forward, Kaneka and Kashima Antlers will continue to pursue various initiatives from environmental, health, and regional coexistence perspectives, with the shared vision of "realizing a sustainable society."
