Koji Nakata's Day: ENCORE supported by JIM BEAM - Koji Nakata, Atsushi Yanagisawa, Toru Araiba Joint Retirement Match

On July 5th, we held the "ENCORE supported by JIM BEAM Koji Nakata, Atsushi Yanagisawa, Toru Araiba Joint Retirement Match." We look back at a day in the life of Koji Nakata C.R.O. with photos.

Nakata C.R.O. arrived at the stadium early in the morning to prepare. He attended a meeting held from 9 AM and greeted the staff. Before the match, he appeared at a concourse event and hosted a talk show.

Nakata C.R.O. started as a defensive midfielder. He immediately unleashed a powerful long-range shot, thrilling the stadium.

He also received commemorative gifts with Coach Yanagisawa and Araiba, and took a commemorative photo. He received 30kg of specially cultivated rice from Mayor Koichi Nishikiori of Kashima City, a gift set of processed vegetables from Mayor Yasuhei Onizawa of Hokota City, and Biei Pork from Mayor Shunya Suzuki of Namegata City. Suntory Spirits Limited also presented him with a year's supply of Jim Beam Citrus Highball cans.

Nakata C.R.O. was the only one of the three main players to play the full match, starting from the second half. However, he couldn't score a goal easily, and even missed a penalty kick after changing into a KAY FRIENDS uniform. Nevertheless, in the 84th minute, he scored a penalty kick earned by Coach Yanagisawa, completing the trio of main players' goals.

In his speech, he began by expressing gratitude to the participating players, supporters, sponsors, and related parties. Reflecting on the match, he said, "Being able to play 90 minutes in front of all of you has become a great asset." He also sent a message to the supporters: "As C.R.O., I will discreetly support the players and the team. I will work hard to make Antlers a perpetually winning team again. Please create an atmosphere like today's for every match."

After the ceremony and being tossed in the air, Nakata C.R.O. briefly left the pitch. He reappeared with Coach Yanagisawa and Araiba and headed to the supporters' seats. He greeted the supporters and walked through the stands to the concourse. Finally, he was tossed in the air by the supporters as well.
