Academy Report

Today, the 7th day of the expedition, Kashima, Norte, and Tsukuba played a friendly match at the ZICO Center and an exchange match with a futsal team led by Mr. Sappo, a former coach of the Japan Futsal National Team. In the evening, we went to Maracanã Stadium to watch the Vasco da Gama vs. Santos match.

This morning, each team took a walk before having breakfast. The three teams, Kashima, Norte, and Tsukuba, were shuffled and divided into friendly matches and futsal exchange matches.

The friendly match was against the opponent Tsukuba had lost to. The players faced the match as the final game of the expedition. They came back from a 0-3 deficit in the first half to equalize in the second half.

They created many more decisive chances than their opponents and had a chance to win, but unfortunately, it ended in a draw.The other group played an exchange friendly match with a futsal team led by Mr. Sappo, a former coach of the Japan Futsal National Team, in the afternoon. The participating players showed off their footwork, which they usually don't, and repeatedly displayed excellent plays that thrilled the audience.In the evening, to watch the match, the players who participated in the friendly match went to Maracanã Stadium from the hotel, and the players who participated in the futsal match went directly from the futsal venue.

After watching the match, we returned to the hotel, had a late dinner, and went to bed. Tomorrow will be our last day in Brazil.
