Hometown Elementary School Visit: Kashima City Hano Elementary School

On Wednesday, October 19, players Hitoshi Sogahata and Yuki Kakita visited Kashima Municipal Hano Elementary School and interacted with 155 students in grades 4-6.
Since Hitoshi Sogahata is an alumnus of Hano Elementary School, the teachers and students welcomed the players at the entrance with a large banner as they arrived.

In the first demonstration, Yuki Kakita was given a handicap and challenged to play with different sized balls depending on what he drew from a lottery! He chose a rubber ball and teamed up with the students for a ball-keeping and juggling challenge. There were also moments where the players struggled in one-on-one matches with female students who play soccer, and in juggling challenges with multiple children, but the children's cheers made it a huge success. The players' team showed their professional grit and won, and they could be seen sighing in relief.

For the main recreation of the day, Hitoshi Sogahata and Yuki Kakita split up and played dodgeball. Hitoshi Sogahata skillfully dodged balls thrown at him with a jump, while Yuki Kakita worked well with the outfield players to pass the ball around.
Although the children were a bit nervous at first, as they spent more time with the players, smiles and laughter naturally spread everywhere, creating an atmosphere where everyone was enjoying themselves.
