We would like to announce that Dr. Atsushi Seki, our team doctor, received the AFC Distinguished Service Award/Gold at the 3rd AFC Medical Awards held in Doha, Qatar, on Sunday, March 5th.
The AFC Medical Awards were presented during the 7th AFC Medical Conference, which took place in Doha, Qatar, from Thursday, March 2nd, to Monday, March 6th.
The AFC Medical Awards recognize doctors who have made significant contributions to the development of Asian football. Former Kashima Antlers team doctor, Shunpei Miyagawa, also received the AFC Distinguished Service Award/Gold in 2019.
In light of this award, a ceremony for Dr. Seki will be held before the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 6 against Sanfrecce Hiroshima on Saturday, April 1st.
