We regret to announce that one player from our top team has tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, August 27.
On August 27, the player tested positive in a pre-match screening test (antigen test) conducted on the day of the match (2022 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 27 against Kawasaki Frontale), based on the COVID-19 guidelines set by the J.League. Subsequently, the team doctor confirmed the COVID-19 diagnosis. The player is currently recuperating under appropriate guidance and measures. Furthermore, based on the J.League COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines, no close contacts were identified.
No other players or team staff currently show any symptoms of illness. For the top team practice on Tuesday, August 30, after the break, only players who receive a negative diagnosis from an antigen test conducted before practice will participate. Additionally, as a measure to prevent further spread of infection, the practice on August 30 will be closed to the public.
The club will further strengthen the COVID-19 prevention measures we have implemented so far, and we will ensure that all players, staff, and related parties are re-informed and thoroughly adhere to these preventive measures.
