On the evening of Saturday, June 18, two female match operations staff members were hit by a car and killed while crossing the intersection in front of Kashima Soccer Stadium after the 2022 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 17 game against Kyoto Sanga F.C. that same day.
The entire club respectfully offers its deepest condolences to the Antlers Family for this sudden and tragic loss.
Players and staff will wear black armbands during the Emperor's Cup JFA 102nd Japan Football Championship Round 3 match against Omiya Ardija, scheduled to be held at NACK5 Stadium Omiya on Wednesday, June 22, and during the next home league match, the 2022 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 20 game against Cerezo Osaka on Wednesday, July 6.
