We regret to announce that one player belonging to our club's top team tested positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test on Thursday, January 27.
The player complained of fever and sore throat on the evening of Tuesday, January 25, and tested negative for COVID-19 in antigen tests conducted that evening and on the morning of Wednesday, January 26. However, on the morning of January 27, the player tested positive in an antigen test, and subsequently, a PCR test for COVID-19 also returned a positive result. The player is currently participating in the top team's training camp and has been isolated since the evening of the 25th, receiving treatment under appropriate guidance and measures.
Consequently, the top team canceled its training camp practice on Thursday, January 27, and conducted PCR tests on 59 players and team officials participating in the camp, all of whom tested negative. Furthermore, based on the J-League's COVID-19 prevention guidelines, a thorough investigation for close contacts was carried out, and one player was identified as a close contact. Regarding the training camp, the public health center has determined that it can continue with thorough infection prevention measures. Therefore, training is scheduled to resume on Friday, January 28, with the exception of the infected player and the close contact.
The club will continue to implement measures against COVID-19 and will re-educate all players, staff, and related personnel on infection prevention measures and ensure their thorough implementation.
