We regret to inform you that on Tuesday, April 13, two top team players and one top team staff member tested positive for COVID-19 in PCR tests.
Player A and the staff member reported feeling unwell on Monday, April 12, and tested positive for COVID-19 in PCR tests conducted on Tuesday, April 13. Consequently, team practice for the day was canceled, and PCR tests were conducted for all top team players and staff members, excluding Player A and the staff member, which confirmed Player B's positive test result. All other top team players and staff members tested negative and have not shown any symptoms such as feeling unwell or fever. Furthermore, after identifying close contacts under the guidance of the public health center on Wednesday, April 14, it was determined that there were no close contacts.
Since Player A and Player B accompanied the team for the away match against Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo in the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Section 9 on Sunday, April 11, we have promptly shared information with Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo and will continue to coordinate with them as appropriate.
Regarding future top team activities, after discussions with the public health center, it was determined that activities can continue with thorough implementation of infection prevention measures.
As for the clubhouse facilities, the entire building was disinfected with alcohol by an external contractor on the 13th. The official shop and futsal courts will continue to operate as usual. The club will further strengthen its COVID-19 countermeasures and will ensure that all players, staff, and related personnel are re-informed and thoroughly adhere to infection prevention measures.
