Kashima Antlers is pleased to announce that it will hold a pitch contest called "Pitch & Match" to challenge new community development where entertainment and technology intersect, utilizing the management resources unique to a professional soccer club.
In February 2020, our club concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Kashima City and Mercari, Inc. concerning regional revitalization projects in Kashima City. In October 2020, together with other companies and local governments, we participated in the open innovation program "SmartCityX" and have been discussing and considering how to solve various regional issues, aiming to become a hub for regional revitalization with "sports x technology" as its theme.
Furthermore, as 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of our founding, we plan to develop new initiatives. As society changes, we want to find ways for professional soccer clubs and local communities, together with the participants of "Pitch & Match," to co-create new value and respond to the changing movements of people and society.
■ About "Pitch & Match"
This event is a pitch contest-style program in which Kashima Antlers offers acceleration opportunities (PoC, various verification experiments, etc.) as prizes. We welcome applications and business ideas from companies and organizations that wish to realize projects jointly with Kashima Antlers, Kashima City, and others. The application deadline is 23:59 on Friday, February 12, 2021.

*At Kashima Stadium, the 5th generation (5G) mobile communication system has already been implemented. In September last year, with the cooperation of NTT Docomo, Inc., a club official partner and J-League top partner, a demonstration experiment of "5G x Multi-angle Video Experience" was conducted.
