We are pleased to announce that a mural depicting Zico, our Club Advisor (CA), has been completed on the wall of the 3rd gate staircase at Kashima Soccer Stadium. This project is part of the 30th-anniversary celebration of Zico CA's retirement as a player, and it was opened to the public today, June 16th (Sunday), for the 2024 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 18 against Albirex Niigata.

Background of the Wall Art Production
■30th Anniversary of Zico CA's Retirement2024 marks 30 years since Zico CA retired as a player in 1994. To express our gratitude to him, a symbol of our club, various projects are planned throughout the season. This wall art is the first phase of these projects and was unveiled to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Zico CA's final match as a player (June 15, 1994, J.League Suntory Series Matchday 22 against Jubilo Iwata).

■Increasing Stadium Excitement
The wall art was created on the staircase wall of Gate 3 at Kashima Soccer Stadium, the home stadium of Kashima Antlers, which is primarily used by Antlers supporters in the supporters' section (behind the goal). By having visitors walk past the mural of Zico CA as they enter the stadium, we aim to heighten their spirits and boost their passion for cheering.
■Art Expansion Including the Stadium
The production was carried out in collaboration with OVER ALLs Inc., a company specializing in wall art. The club plans to continue developing art projects to make the stadium a place (sanctuary/community) where fans and supporters want to visit and gather more.
■Gratitude to the Current Stadium
Kashima Antlers is currently proceeding with plans for a new stadium. The creation of this wall art also serves as an expression of gratitude to the current stadium, which has made significant contributions to the development of the region, the club, and Japanese football.
Comments on the Completion of the Wall Art
■Zico Club AdvisorI am deeply moved and happy to see such a wonderful work. The past 30 years of my life have been supported by many people, allowing me to reach today. I hope this will be cherished as a symbol of Antlers going forward, and I myself want to continue walking alongside Antlers. Also, I would not be where I am today without the power of the supporters. I am filled with joy to be able to see this with all the supporters who have supported not only me but also the team, players, and staff.
■Fumiaki Koizumi, Representative Director and President
It has been 30 years since Zico CA retired as a player. We wanted to give a gift from the club and thought of having Zico CA depicted on the wall of Gate 3, which leads to the supporters' section of Kashima Stadium. The production began with the desire to create something that would uplift people's spirits for the match as they climb the stairs, looking at the inspiring figure of Zico CA from his playing days. This has turned out to be a wonderful work, and I hope that all members of the Antlers family will unite to lead us to future victories.
