1-on-1 school (June 16)

From 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on Sunday, June 16, a 1v1 school was held at Antlers Clubhouse.

The 1v1 school is an event that provides basic to practical training to win 1v1 situations in soccer (offense, defense, and tackles).

They were divided into offense and defense and practiced breaking through left and right cones. This practice involved using speed and body feints to get past defenders. There were many scenes where players skillfully broke through using scissors feints and changes in speed. In the kicking practice towards the net, kick feints were also incorporated into the training, with an emphasis on the feeling of their form.

When the coach distributed the ball, we strongly encouraged players to challenge themselves with various feints during 1v1 training. Towards the end, there was an exciting moment where a player made a sliding tackle to win the ball, driven by the desire not to lose.

Warm-up involved 1v1 without a ball.
In coordination training, we practiced movements and feints. We worked on movements that defenders couldn't keep up with, as well as movements to shake off or get past defenders. For these offensive movements, we emphasized that defenders should respond well and stick with their opponents. We also taught defenders to use their hands to block when they were about to be bypassed.

Win the ball and keep it for 3 seconds.
Players had to win the ball in a 1v1 situation against a ball distributed from behind, and if they could keep it for 3 seconds, they won. First, they had to get their body in front of the opponent's to make it their ball. Once they had the ball, the main point emphasized was to use their hands to block the opponent and prevent them from taking it away.

1v1 on the touchline.
This situation involved receiving the ball on the touchline, turning, and then playing 1v1. After turning, players had the option of breaking through vertically or cutting inside, and they were instructed to choose their play based on observing the defender. For defenders, the only instruction given was to approach with full intensity.

In the final game, we encouraged players to touch the ball themselves and to actively attack.

For the warm-up, we started with a drill where players held the ball with their hands and practiced getting past opponents. We explained that if they couldn't win a 1v1 with their hands, it would be difficult to win a 1v1 in soccer with their feet, so we conveyed the key points and feel for 1v1. In 1v1, we emphasized three points: distance, getting past with feints, and changes in speed. If the distance to the opponent is too close, the ball is easily lost. However, if it's too far, the opponent can react, making it a difficult situation in 1v1, but we practiced it thoroughly. In the final game, we reminded them of the 1v1 situations practiced and encouraged them to get past and beat opponents themselves.
