Parent-Child Soccer (10/12)

On October 12th (Monday, holiday), Parents & Kids Soccer was held at the Antlers Clubhouse Futsal Ground for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders. The weather was clear and very pleasant for physical activity, and the 18 parent-child pairs who participated enjoyed themselves while diligently managing their health, including hydrating after each match.

[Format and Rules]
- Round-robin matches, 8 minutes each.
- Only parents can be goalkeepers (GK changes every 4 minutes).
- Teams are randomly decided by the parents and children who attend on the day.
(If a team is short, one coach will join).
- Divided into 5 teams and played on 2 courts.
- One team consists of 4 parent-child pairs, for a total of 8 people.
- The penalty shootout is performed by 4 children from the teams that played the match (sudden death included).
- Only parents and children who participated in the matches are eligible for the raffle.

This time, we first randomly decided the teams, and then everyone learned each other's names before the matches. In regular school, there aren't many opportunities to interact with people from different grades, so this event also serves as a chance to make new friends.

In the matches, the children demonstrated the results of their regular school training, with many proactive plays such as dribbling and trying to steal the ball. However, with the goalkeepers standing firm in front of the goal, the matches remained closely contested.

Nevertheless, as the matches progressed, the transition between offense and defense became faster, and scoring opportunities in front of the goal increased, leading to more shouts of "Nice keeper!" and "Nice shot!". When a goal was scored, parents and children not only high-fived each other but also other pairs, sharing their joy.

In the last few matches, more fathers and mothers were seen dribbling up the field, and there were great balls that adults could almost connect with from other adults' crosses, and surprising shots that scored goals, making the atmosphere even more exciting.

The penalty shootout was played as a round-robin among the five teams that had played matches. Some children were nervous, but there were also instances of 3rd graders giving advice to 1st and 2nd graders. Some children were goalkeeping for the first time, and it seemed to be a good experience for them. The parents enjoyed watching their children, taking photos.

The raffle, which included various Antlers merchandise and other items, had a different kind of excitement from the matches, with children cheering when their parents won prizes, and others desperately wishing for the items they wanted. If you won a soccer item this time, please be sure to use it at the next Parents & Kids Soccer event!
