Techball Report: Kashima Antlers Youth (10/22)

The October Teqball Report features a challenge that we couldn't do in September.

The challenge this time is "How far away can you hit the teqboard with the ball!"

With the cooperation of the first-year players, we formed 5 teams of two and competed to see who could achieve the longest distance in a ranking format.

【Date】
After morning training on Saturday, October 22nd

【Rules】
Teams of two perform rallies, competing to see how far the player on the right can continue the rally from.

photo
The rally starts with the player on the right (left in photo: Tokuda, right: Matsumoto).

photo
If the ball kicked by the player on the right lands on the left side of the teqboard, it's a success!

photo
The player on the left volleys the ball that bounced off the board and passes it to the player further away.
*The player on the left passes the ball directly to the player without letting it drop on the teqboard. The distance at which the player on the right successfully drops the ball on the teqboard at the end is recorded.

After a little practice, we started the actual competition... (lol)

Each team had 3 attempts, and we competed with their best score.

Their poses and timing are all over the place... (lol)

First up is the U-16 Japan national team duo of Tokuda and Matsumoto.

Player Matsumoto, who receives the passes, was extremely stable and provided soft, easy-to-receive passes to player Tokuda, extending their distance.

Player Tokuda also kicked the ball accurately onto the teqboard, and with their extremely stable combination, they achieved a good score from their first attempt.

In their last attempt, they switched roles, and as Player Matsumoto was trying to kick from afar, he suddenly showed off a trick...

And he failed easily, ending their third attempt (lol).

That's all for this Teqboard Report!

The sequel will be published in the next Teqboard Report!
