Spain Expedition (3/7)

Kashima Youth, currently on an expedition in Spain, reached its fourth day. In the morning, the team traveled from Barcelona to Madrid. The team traveled to Madrid by Spain's high-speed rail, the AVE (Alta Velocidad Española) of the Spanish National Railway. "AVE" means "bird" in Spanish, and a bird with spread wings is the symbol of the train. The station was clean, and security checks were conducted. The journey was expected to take about three hours at a speed of approximately 300 km/h, but today it was slightly delayed.

The start of the first half was sluggish overall, and in the 2nd minute, we conceded a goal due to a momentary lapse.

After that, we managed to regroup and created several scoring opportunities, but couldn't find the net, ending the first half 0-1.

Five minutes into the second half, Sugiyama headed in Sasaki's free kick to make it 1-1. We brought the game back to even, but conceded in the 16th minute, putting us behind again.

We continued to press to equalize, and in the 26th minute, Onuma's long-range shot was on target but was brilliantly saved by the opposing goalkeeper, preventing a goal.

In the 27th minute, Maeda connected directly with Kumada's cross to level the score at 2-2. However, in the 29th minute, a direct free kick from the opponent looked like it was saved by Yamada, but the referee called it a goal.

Trailing again at 2-3, in the 31st minute, Kobari converted Maeda's free kick, making it 3-3 once more.

Even after that, in the 41st minute, Sugiyama broke free and took a shot, but it hit the post, and the game ended 3-3. It was an exciting match where we twice fell behind and twice equalized.

After the match, we returned to the hotel and had dinner at 8:30 PM, concluding our fourth day in Spain.
