◆Preliminary League Match 3, Kick-off 9:00

Norte 1(1-0.0-1)1 CFZ Brasilia
Scorer: 22nd minute Kaito Takeuchi

Members: Owada (HT Shizukuishi), Kamoshida, Inaba, Otsuki (43rd minute Mitsushima), Takahashi Gaku, Oyama, Hosaka (46th minute Sekiguchi Hayate), Takeuchi, Noguchi, Ogawa, Kubota

This was the third preliminary league match. Since advancing to the quarterfinals was no longer possible, we aimed for a win on our Brazil tour. The start of the match was marked by stiffness, with back-and-forth play. Both teams had chances but couldn't score, until in the 22nd minute, Oyama Sena received the ball near the center of the penalty area and passed it to Takeuchi Kaito on the right wing. He powerfully kicked it in, giving Norte its first goal of the tournament. The first half ended 1-0. In the second half, Norte had the upper hand, but missed many decisive chances. In an uneasy atmosphere, Norte committed a foul in front of their own goal in the 43rd minute, conceding a direct free kick that leveled the score. After that, Norte continued to create many chances, but poor finishing accuracy prevented them from scoring. In the 65th minute, Oyama Sena missed a penalty kick awarded for an opponent's handball. Norte continued to attack, but the opponent's goalkeeper made several fine saves, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Despite scoring their first goal of the tournament, they couldn't secure a victory and finished the tournament with one draw and two losses.

◆Preliminary League Match 3, Kick-off 12:30

Tsukuba 1(0-0.1-0)0 Audax Osasco
Scorer: 47th minute Kensuke Kokubu

Members: Nakajima Aoi, Ishikawa Taku (52nd minute Kimishima), Goto, Fujiwara, Nakajima Yui (60th minute Suzuki), Ishikawa Kou, Maruyama (67th minute Kaneko), Sekiguchi, Hanawa, Fukazawa (42nd minute Wagatsuma), Kokubu (67th minute Aragaki)

Following Norte, the Tsukuba team also no longer had a chance to advance to the next stage, but like Norte, they fought as one team, aiming for a win in their final match. From the start of the first half, they dominated the game, maintaining stable play in both offense and defense. They had numerous chances from crosses, but the first half ended 0-0 without any goals. In the second half, they continued to play a stable game, much like in the first. In the 47th minute, taking advantage of a momentary lapse by the opponent, Nakajima Yuto quickly passed the ball to Hanawa Keita from a free kick on the left side of the halfway line. Kensuke Kokubu then scored freely from the cross in front of the goal. They had further chances to score but the match ended as it was, securing one win in the tournament. The Tsukuba team finished the tournament with one win and two losses.

◆Preliminary League Match 3, Kick-off 14:15

Kashima 2(0-2.2-0)2 Internacional
Scorers: 59th minute Shinjin Sugiyama, 70th+3 minute Konomu Ikisawa
Members: Yamada, Kobari (HT Nakajima Ryo), Tamaki, Ikisawa, Nemoto, Hiramatsu (HT Fujii), Ishii, Someya (HT Kikuchi), Saito, Furuya (55th minute Sugiyama), Takahashi Eito (HT Kurimata)

The Kashima team, with two wins in the preliminary round, played this match knowing that a loss could mean elimination. This match was played in rainy conditions. Their opponent, Internacional, had one win and one loss up to this point and still had a chance to advance to the quarterfinals, so they played aggressively from the start of the first half. Goalkeeper Daiki Yamada, with the team, repelled their attacks, but in the 16th and 17th minutes, they conceded two consecutive goals. The first half was dominated by the opponent in both offense and defense.
In the second half, they made substitutions to try and regroup, but the early pace was similar to the first half. The opponent also struggled to score a third goal, and from around the 50th minute, as they started to show signs of fatigue, Kashima began to create more decisive chances. In the 59th minute, from tenacious defense, Shoichi Kurimata's through pass found Shinjin Sugiyama, who ran diagonally, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and scored, narrowing the deficit to one goal. A relentless attack followed, and in the 73rd minute of added time, Konomu Ikisawa scored a header from a corner kick, equalizing the score in a dramatic ending. The Kashima team advanced to the quarterfinals as group leaders with two wins and one draw.
This was the result of thorough preparation, and the players and staff uniting and never giving up until the end.
