This tournament saw 106 teams participate in qualifying rounds in the Kanto and Tohoku regions in May and June, aiming for a spot in the final tournament. The competition for the championship involved 32 teams, including those who advanced from the regional qualifiers, teams that received a seeded spot from last year's tournament, and invited overseas teams such as the K-League club Jeonbuk Hyundai.
On the first day of the tournament, the first league stage was held, with each team playing with all their might to advance from the group stage.
On the second day of the tournament, the second league stage will be held.
