The All Japan Youth Soccer Tournament final was against Regista FC, representing Saitama. Regista FC was a team that had been touted as a championship contender before the tournament. Kashima Junior started the match well, stealing the ball from the front and attacking into the opponent's territory in the first half. However, they were unable to create any shooting opportunities.
Gradually, the opponent gained momentum, but a shot taken freely from a right cross went off target, and Kashima Junior managed to weather the storm, ending the first half 0-0.

Coach Koyano
"We started the game well and it was our pace initially. We just couldn't score then. In the second half, we made a mistake during a period when we were creating rhythm, and the opponent took control. I think it was a very regrettable game. In the group stage, we were a bit stiff, couldn't score, and our performance wasn't great. However, once we entered the knockout rounds, I think we showed our strengths. We aimed for the championship, but honestly, I didn't expect us to get this far. Still, this isn't the end, so I want them to remember this frustration."
