Kashima Area: October 2024 Event Report

In October 2024, events were held in the Kashima area for kindergarten children (ages 4-5) and elementary school students in grades 1-6.

Various events were held, including kids' soccer classes and a grand autumn sports festival, with over 400 players participating!

Please see below for details of the events and how they unfolded on the day.

[October 6 (Sunday) Kids' Soccer Class in Kashima]
A soccer class for kindergarten children (ages 4-5) was held at the Kashima Antlers Clubhouse Futsal Court!

On the day, in addition to basic training such as movement exercises and ball touches using the sole of the foot and the inside of the foot, players practiced dribbling shots and dribbling around obstacles like cones, conducting training that leads to real matches!

At the end of the practice, the participating players enjoyed mini-games and matches, having fun with soccer!

In the matches, there were many scenes of players aiming for goals and eagerly chasing the ball. It was an event where everyone, whether they were playing soccer for the first time or attending Antlers School, could enjoy soccer together.

Kashima Antlers School is currently holding classes for kindergarten-aged children at each location! Free trials are also available, so please come and join us!

[October 26 (Saturday) Kashima Antlers School Autumn Grand Sports Festival in Namegata]
The "Kashima Antlers School Autumn Grand Sports Festival in Namegata" was held for elementary school students in grades 1-6 at the multipurpose ground of Aso Sports Park in Namegata City!

On the day, in addition to classic sports day events like tamaire (ball-toss game), tug-of-war, giant ball rolling, and relays, we also held original Antlers School competitions such as soccer bingo and fun relays! In tug-of-war and giant ball rolling, coaches joined in for serious competitions with the children, and parents also participated in parent-child competitions.

At the end, a relay race was held where everyone ran one lap, resulting in a relay filled with both tears and laughter. Finally, all the participating players enjoyed a soccer match!

It was refreshing to see players who usually seriously engage in soccer during school lessons enjoying various other activities.

The Aso Sports Park multipurpose ground, where this event was held, hosts school classes every Wednesday! Free trials are also available, so please come and join us!

[October 26 (Saturday) Soccer Class in Asahi/Choshi]
The "Soccer Class in Asahi/Choshi" was held at Shiosai Stadium (Asahi City Soccer Field)!

On the day, the soccer class was divided into two groups: kindergarten children (ages 4-5) and elementary school students in grades 1-3!

The kindergarten children (ages 4-5) focused on dribbling, concentrating on stopping the ball and moving around cones. Elementary school students in grades 1-3 focused on kicking, practicing passing and shooting to specific targets.

Both group games were very exciting! The sight of them eagerly chasing the ball was impressive!

The Asahi/Choshi School is held every Tuesday at the same venue (Asahi Shiosai Stadium).
Free trials are also available, so please come and experience it!

[October 29 (Tuesday) Shooting School]
A "Shooting School" was held for elementary school students in grades 1-6 at the Kashima Antlers Clubhouse Futsal Court.

In the shooting school, players understood where and how to hit the ball to make it fly straight through partner drills and juggling practice.

Next, they practiced shooting in various real-game situations, such as shooting after dribbling and shooting after receiving a pass.

Coaches advised players who couldn't hit the ball squarely or score even after successfully dribbling past opponents to "pay attention to the distance of their pivot foot" and "focus on striking the center of the ball." After receiving the advice, more players became conscious of these points, and many were able to score shots.

Finally, a match was played. Many players actively shot at goal, always aiming for it even when facing opponents. If they can convert shots in limited chances during a game, it leads to victory, so we hope more players will improve their shooting accuracy and excel in the future!

At the Kashima Antlers Clubhouse, where this event was held, a striker course is offered every Thursday from 18:30 to 19:50! Players who want to master shooting techniques and the secrets to scoring goals are encouraged to come for a free trial!
