From the start of the first half, both teams played with high intensity, and the rhythm of the game was set by whichever team won the second ball.

While neither team could gain the upper hand, Kashima Youth shifted its formation and went on the offensive. They gained momentum by winning the ball through high-intensity defending, but the opponent's concentrated defense prevented them from scoring in the first half, which ended scoreless.

In the second half, they brought in #9 Masaki and aimed for a goal with a more attacking formation. Just when it seemed they had gained momentum, a long throw from the opponent's left side was cleared once in front of the goal, but then headed in for a goal.

Kashima Youth responded in the 64th minute, with #9 Masaki pushing in a pass from #56 Takagi, bringing the game back to a tie.
