≪Tsukuba Area≫ May-June 2024 Event Report

[Sunday, May 5th (holiday) Ushiku Soccer Event]
At the Ushiku Sports Park Multi-Purpose Ground, we held a "Soccer Class" in the morning for kids (pre-schoolers and kindergartners) and elementary school students in grades 1-4, and a "Mini-Game Event for Individual Participants" in the afternoon for elementary school students in grades 1-4!

In the soccer class, participants had fun moving their bodies while touching the ball a lot, focusing on movement and ball-handling, and also practiced basic soccer skills like dribbling and shooting.
Many beginners and girls also participated, and everyone enjoyed playing soccer together under the clear skies!

In the mini-game event for individual participants, teams were formed from the participants who came on the day and played matches.
There were many instances of players bravely attacking the goal and defending with their bodies for their team, and heated matches unfolded in every age group!

The Ushiku school holds classes every Tuesday at the Ushiku Sports Park Gymnasium for kids up to 6th grade elementary school students.
We also offer free trials, so please come and experience it!

[Saturday, May 11th Junior Youth Skill Up School]
At the Tsukuba Academy Center, we held a "Tsukuba Junior Youth Coaching Staff Direct Skill Up School" for elementary school students in grades 4-6.

On the day of the event, Tsukuba Junior Youth Coaching Staff Manager Mitsunori Yamao led practice on "dribbling," Coach Yuichi Nemoto on "shooting," and Coach Motofumi Ohashi on "goalkeeping."

The coaches demonstrated and intensively practiced ball handling and feints to get past opponents, ball placement before shooting, and shot quality.
During the goalkeeping practice, the coaches also played along, doing basic drills and practical exercises by joining in the field players' shooting practice.

In the one-on-one drills and the final match, many players actively challenged with dribbles and aimed for the goal, and with the goalkeepers also participating, it became a very fulfilling session simulating a real match!

We will continue to hold events specializing in skills, so please join us.

At the Tsukuba Academy Center, we held a "Parent-Child Soccer Event" for kids (pre-schoolers and kindergartners) and first-grade elementary school students.

Approximately 20 parent-child pairs participated on the day, enjoying ball-handling and dribbling together. Afterward, we also had a shooting showdown and a 1-on-1 parent-child match!
In the parent-child match, the children were beaming with joy after beating their dads and moms, and it was wonderful to see both parents and children running wholeheartedly and having fun touching the ball a lot!

We also introduced exercises that can be done at home or in the park, as well as stretching and recreational activities that parents and children can enjoy together!

We will continue to hold events that parents and children can enjoy together, so please join us when they happen!

[Saturday, June 8th Movement & Mini-Game Event]
At the Tsukuba Academy Center, we held a "Movement & Mini-Game Event" for elementary school students in grades 3-5.

The goal of this event was to improve "quickness" and "agility," which are crucial in soccer. We focused more on ladder step work and quick reactions and changes of direction than in regular school lessons.

Finally, we put what we learned into practice during mini-games, and many participants were seen challenging themselves to apply what they had acquired in practice.

Thank you to everyone who participated.
