Hometown Elementary School Visit: Namegata City Tamatsukuri Elementary School

This day marked the final day of the three-year elementary school visit program, and the players headed to meet the children who had been eagerly awaiting them. Players Endo and Machida visited Namegata City Tamatsukuri Elementary School. This school was formed in 2014 by the merger of six schools, and the players were amazed by the wonderful barrier-free school building.

The interaction took place in the gymnasium with 98 sixth-graders. Although players Endo and Machida greeted them with "Have a blast!" and "Let's all enjoy a mini-game!", respectively, the children were a little nervous. However, as the players demonstrated impressive juggling skills, including around-the-world tricks and head juggling, smiles began to appear on the children's faces.

Initially hesitant, the children gradually became more active in the challenge, "Can you take the ball from the players?" They bravely challenged Player Endo's excellent ball-keeping skills, which made it impossible for them to take the ball. Player Machida sat cross-legged among the children, smiling and talking to them.

The recreation activity was a mini-game divided into two courts, with the players also splitting up. Player Machida formed huddles and high-fived the children to boost their morale. Player Endo's role was to bring the ball to the front of the goal. When the children made a brilliant final pass and scored, he would run over and high-five them!

Teams rotated, and three games were played. Everyone had a fun time interacting with the players. Player Machida gave a fist pump, and Player Endo couldn't stop smiling.

Finally, children who were confident in their soccer skills came forward to challenge the two players. Initially, the two players evaded the children with brilliant passes, but the sixth-graders had high athletic abilities, and the players were soon on the defensive as the ball was taken from them.

After the recreation, Player Endo sent a message saying, "We are growing as soccer players, so I hope you all continue to grow when you go to junior high." Player Machida greeted them with, "Doing anything diligently makes it fun, so do your best!" The children also offered heartfelt words of thanks. Finally, they were presented with autographed Shikishi boards and pennants.
