Omitama City Soccer School

The Omitama City Soccer School was held in Omitama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, on August 29.

Antlers players Taro Sugimoto, Yuma Suzuki, and Taiki Hirato participated.

After Mayor Joichi Shimada of Omitama City gave the opening address, training immediately began, with participants divided by grade level.

In the grade-level training, first to fourth graders played tag, practiced dribbling and passing, and finally played a game. Fifth and sixth graders did face-to-face passing, 4-on-2 possession, and then played a game.

For junior high school students, both boys and girls, we started with an icebreaker to form groups based on the coach's signal, and then moved on to turning drills. Hirato, who came from Antlers Junior, reminisced as he demonstrated the drills.

Finally, everyone took a group photo, and the players spent over 30 minutes giving autographs to all the participants.

All the participating players, Sugimoto, Suzuki, and Hirato, said, "It was a lot of fun. We received energy from the children."
