The blood drive is part of Antlers Business Club's philosophical sponsorship activities (*), aimed at supporting the securing of blood donors. This was the seventh such event, following the 6th Antlers Business Club Blood Drive held at Kashima Stadium on Sunday, May 19th. The event was held with the cooperation of the Ibaraki Red Cross Blood Center.
This time, in addition to the blood donation area, a booth for the Ibaraki Itako Health Center's Bone Marrow Bank donor registration drive was also set up, bringing together three organizations—the club, the Red Cross, and administrative agencies—to save as many lives as possible.
On the day of the event, from the 10:00 AM reception slot, not only club staff but also members of Business Club companies and many general participants attended, and a total of 60 blood donations were made.
At the co-located donor registration booth, those interested in donor registration had the opportunity to receive detailed explanations about the importance of donor registration and how to register, in conjunction with blood donation. They realized that donor registration could be done in an accessible way. Eight people registered as donors at the event.
Participants received a cable holder with the "Antlers Business Club" logo, which can also be used as a smartphone stand.
The blood and warm intentions from everyone will be used for patients facing life-threatening situations, such as those undergoing treatment for diseases like cancer and leukemia, or those experiencing massive bleeding due to accidents or childbirth.
Going forward, the Antlers Business Club will continue to work through the community of its philosophical sponsorship activities to bring companies and the local community together, encouraging more people to become interested in volunteering to save lives and to easily visit blood donation venues.
(*) What are philosophical sponsorship activities?
A portion of the membership fees for the Antlers Business Club will be allocated as "philosophical sponsorship funds" to activities aimed at regional and social contribution.
