Prime Stage Tournament Outline
■Tournament FormatEight teams that have advanced from the Group Stage will compete in a home-and-away knockout tournament (the final will be a single match).
■Match Format and Decision of Winner
・Quarterfinals, Semifinals (Home & Away)
Matches will be 90 minutes long (45 minutes per half). If there is no winner, the match will be a draw. The winner of each round will be the team with more wins over the two matches. If the number of wins is the same, the winner will be determined by the following:
(1) Goal difference over the two matches
(2) 30 minutes of extra time (15 minutes per half) at the end of the second leg
(3) Penalty shootout
(5 players per team. If there is still no winner, it will proceed one player at a time until a winner is decided)
*From the 2023 season, the away goal rule will be abolished.
・Final (single match)
A 90-minute match (45 minutes per half) will be played. If there is no winner, 30 minutes of extra time (15 minutes per half) will be played. If there is still no winner, the match will be decided by a penalty shootout.
