◆Yoichiro Uchida (YOICHIRO UCHIDA)
Born in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1978. He has gained recognition for his unique worldview, which fuses native orchid species with graffiti work. In November 2017, he held "NEVER MIND" at UNION SODA in Fukuoka, and in May 2019, "SOLO SHOW" at CURATOR’S CUBE in Tokyo. Yoichiro Uchida is actively involved in art, providing artwork for "the POOL aoyama," "LOOPWHEELER," "TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist," "Loro Piana," and more. His creative method is characterized by not setting specific themes, but rather intuitively weaving words that come to mind or are at the back of his mind onto the canvas, structuring the composition like a free jazz jam session.
◆Artist's Comment
"I tried to reconsider the energy and atmosphere of Zico's words in my own way, and this time I made an effort to translate that into the energy of the text. Although these are words from Antlers and the world of soccer, when I tried to rephrase them in my own way, they all felt like they bounced back to me, so it was a great learning experience. I believe I was able to express myself in the work, but this time, with Antlers as the central theme and the development aimed at supporters, it was somewhat a closed circle for me, and I thought about how I could make it appealing and enjoyable for them when I created it."
