Kashima City (Mayor: Koichi Nishikiori), Mercari, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Shintaro Yamada; hereinafter "Mercari"), and Kashima Antlers FC Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Fumiyuki Koizumi; hereinafter "Kashima Antlers") are pleased to announce that Adish Plus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Takuma Ishikawa; hereinafter "Adish Plus"), a customer success solution provider specializing in the digital economy, will establish its "Kashima BASE" office in Kashima City as part of a three-way regional revitalization project. Adish Plus will be entrusted with Kashima Antlers' customer success operations starting June 1, 2022.
This company relocation is based on the "Comprehensive Partnership Agreement for Regional Revitalization Projects in Kashima City" signed in February 2020 by Kashima City, Mercari, and Kashima Antlers with the aim of solving regional issues. By establishing Adish Plus's office in Kashima City and expanding its business to include contracts from other businesses in the future, new employment opportunities will be created, and an increase in the exchange population around the office and revitalization of the region will be promoted.
■Background and Purpose of this Project
The Mercari Group has identified "regional revitalization" as one of its key ESG* issues (materiality) and supports the revitalization of local economies and the creation of mechanisms for local residents to solve their own problems through partnerships with local governments. This time, Mercari introduced Adish Plus to Kashima City, Kashima Antlers' hometown, leading to the successful relocation of the company.
Kashima Antlers will promote business with Adish Plus, which has a customer success business system utilizing technology, and by attracting internet companies like Adish Plus that do not have factories, they aim to create new employment opportunities and revitalize the region. Furthermore, to realize a sustainable local community, they will serve as a hub for local administration and technology companies and support and promote further company relocations.
*ESG is an acronym for Environment, Social, and Governance, which are three key aspects required for a company's long-term growth.
