We would like to announce that three top team players of our club tested positive for COVID-19 PCR on Thursday, March 10.
Player A complained of fever and headache on the evening of Wednesday, March 9, and Player B complained of similar symptoms early in the morning of March 10. Both players tested positive for COVID-19 PCR on the morning of March 10. Following this, the practice scheduled for this morning was cancelled, and PCR tests were conducted on 56 players and team officials, excluding the two players. As a result, Player C tested positive. Additionally, based on the J.League's COVID-19 countermeasures guidelines, one player was identified as a close contact. All other players and team officials tested negative, and no symptoms such as poor health or fever have been observed, so practice was conducted this afternoon.
For the 2022 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 4 vs Vissel Kobe, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, March 11, excluding the three players and one close contact, players and staff who meet the entry requirements will be registered after undergoing screening tests on the day of the match, based on J.League regulations.
Regarding the club facilities, the entire clubhouse was disinfected with alcohol by an external contractor on March 10. The club will further strengthen the COVID-19 countermeasures it has been implementing, and will re-educate and enforce infection prevention measures for all players, staff, and related personnel.
