◆Product Introduction
These are upcycled products jointly developed by Kashima Antlers and Mercari, Inc., using the 15-meter wide "Antlers 30th Anniversary Wall" that was exhibited at Kashima Stadium from March to June last year to commemorate the club's 30th anniversary. The project was conceived not to dispose of the sturdy tarpaulin anniversary wall after the exhibition period, but to upcycle it into new products, embodying the realization of a circular economy that makes effective use of limited resources, and to allow fans and supporters to use these items in their daily lives as various products.
The seven types of products – three types of tote bags, three types of pouches, and one type of key ring – were designed with the cooperation of the creative unit "Semi semi," which advocates the philosophy of "extending the lifespan of design." The production involved "hana," a welfare workshop in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture, where people with disabilities engage in manufacturing, sewing, confectionery, and other activities.
