In a small, depopulated rural town, Kashima Antlers achieved the miraculous feat of joining the J.League from a desperate situation that was 99.9999% impossible. Led by the "god" Zico, the team continued its remarkable progress, winning the J.League's first Triple Crown and three consecutive titles, developing into a club boasting the most titles in Japan.
However, in recent years, Kashima Antlers have been struggling. The 2020-2021 season, in which they vowed to change to become a club that wins titles again, was a period of challenges and conflicts. What is the path forward that emerges from 3000 hours of close-up filming following the team and interviews with numerous legends and people involved who created their glorious history? Is the answer in history, or in the future?
This is the story of Kashima Antlers' glory and anguish.
