Ibaraki Kashima Soccer Stadium to become Japan's most advanced smart stadium

We are pleased to announce the introduction of "Antlers Wi-Fi," the latest high-density stadium Wi-Fi network (*1), at Ibaraki Kashima Soccer Stadium, which is managed by Kashima Antlers. This will further evolve Kashima Soccer Stadium into Japan's most advanced smart stadium (*2) equipped with a digital platform.

□Kashima Antlers' Goals for a Smart Stadium
Kashima Soccer Stadium has always strived to enhance the environment for fans and supporters to enjoy watching football, including the introduction of the latest broadcasting equipment and the installation of state-of-the-art large screens in both goal-end stands. With the introduction of the high-density stadium Wi-Fi network, Kashima Antlers will further strengthen the following initiatives:
・Improvement of fan/supporter experience value as a sports entertainment space by providing diverse video content.
・Improvement of stadium visit satisfaction through digital activities with partner companies.
・Visualization and further expansion of Kashima Antlers' fan base through enhanced digital marketing.

(*1) High-density stadium Wi-Fi network
・By installing a total of 455 access points (APs) in the stadium's spectator seats, VIP areas, concourses, and various stadium rooms, we have realized a Wi-Fi service that allows stadium visitors comfortable and high-speed access anywhere. In particular, APs are installed at a very high density in the 1F spectator stands (one AP for every 70 seats on average), enabling internet access even in crowded spectator areas.

(*2) A smart stadium is a general term for stadiums that are equipped with cutting-edge ICT facilities such as large video displays, stadium Wi-Fi networks, digital signage, broadcasting technology, and security, and provide new experience value for fans and supporters in sports viewing.
