Machida has been accepted into Waseda University's School of Human Sciences e-School (correspondence course) through the special selection entrance examination for the 2016 academic year.
Since 2007, Waseda University has offered a special selection quota in sports for the School of Human Sciences e-School.
Machida will continue to play for the Antlers while earning credits through the correspondence course.
