■Comment from Motoyama:
"It was truly a blessing to have been able to play football for 18 years in the best environment at Kashima Antlers after jumping into the professional world after high school. The atmosphere before a match, the pride of competing on the pitch, the shouts of the supporters, the joy of winning titles. As I looked back on my career when considering my future, various scenes and emotions came to mind. However, in the end, the feeling that remained was, 'I still want to continue standing on the pitch.' I want to play in matches and contribute to the team. Driven by the desire to pursue what a professional player should be, I decided to leave the team. A new challenge begins from here. I am truly indebted to my teammates, club staff, sponsors, local community members, and most beloved supporters who I have fought alongside. No words can fully express my gratitude to all of you. I hope to connect everything I gained at Antlers to my next challenge so that I can repay you someday. Thank you for 18 wonderful years of amazing experiences. And I look forward to your continued support."
