We are pleased to announce that Kashima Antlers, in cooperation with official partner SCO Group Co., Ltd., will begin offering "Special Oral Care Outreach Classes" for children in our hometown.
As the first installment, the inaugural class was held on Thursday, June 11th, at Hirai Elementary School in Kashima City. This project marks Antlers' first endeavor to support dental health education for elementary school students.
In the future, we plan to sequentially hold special classes at other elementary schools within our hometown.
Background of the Club's First "Dental Health Education" Initiative
Recent research has revealed that oral health not only impacts overall health but also significantly affects athletic performance and concentration through "chewing ability."
To ensure that our top team players, who compete fiercely in professional leagues every day, perform at their best, our club places great importance on daily oral care. From this unique perspective of a professional soccer club, we planned this class to explain in an easy-to-understand manner the correlation between "building a body that can 'win' in various situations" and "oral health," to convey to children the importance of lifelong health, and to foster an awareness of "pre-symptomatic and preventive care."
Future Outlook
Through this initiative, Kashima Antlers aims to provide children with an opportunity to proactively think about their own health and will continue to widely promote community-wide health education activities in collaboration with government, schools, local businesses, and professional teams.
