Notice of "LEADS TO THE OCEAN" litter cleanup activity during home games

Kashima Antlers is pleased to announce that we will begin a litter cleanup activity around the stadium during home games, in support of "LEADS TO THE OCEAN (LTO)," a project promoting marine environmental issues by the NPO Umi-Sakura and The Nippon Foundation.

It is said that "approximately 80% of marine litter comes from urban areas." To protect the environment of our hometown, which faces the Kashimanada Sea and benefits from its rich bounty, we will promote activities to protect the beautiful sea starting from the stadium.

■ What is "LEADS TO THE OCEAN (LTO)"?
This project, whose name means "leading to the sea," aims to raise awareness of marine environmental issues through local litter cleanups, with the cooperation of sports teams (including J.League teams) and their fans and supporters. Since its inception in 2015, it has grown into an initiative involving many teams across various sports.

・1st time: Saturday, March 14, Matchday 6 vs Kawasaki Frontale
・2nd time: Sunday, March 22, Matchday 8 vs JEF United Chiba
・3rd time: Sunday (Holiday), May 3, Matchday 14 vs FC Machida Zelvia
※May be canceled due to weather conditions.

2. Implementation Time
・After each match ~ approximately 45 minutes

3. Meeting and Reception Location
・Plaza outside the stadium, near the NIPPON STEEL Gate

4. How to Participate
・No prior registration is required. Please come directly to the meeting location on the day of the event.
・We will provide original garbage bags and tongs so you can participate without bringing anything.
※The garbage bags used are "Enerfish," marine biodegradable plastic bags that consider the marine plastic issue. They contain the bitter component "denatonium," which fish dislike, preventing accidental ingestion by fish. Even if they flow into the sea, they are an environmentally friendly material that naturally decomposes.

5. Participation Benefits
Participants will receive a stamp card, and one stamp will be given for each participation. Those who participate in all three activities will receive an "Original Tongs with Antlers Logo" as a complete participation reward.

■ Important Notes
・The activity area will be within the stadium grounds (recommended inside the vehicle road).
・The activity will proceed in light rain but will be canceled in case of severe weather. In case of cancellation, we will inform you via the official website and official SNS by the day before.
・Photos and videos taken during the activity may be used on the club's official website, SNS, LTO official website, etc. Please be aware of this in advance.

With the slogan "Don't let trash go into the sea!", we look forward to your enthusiastic participation.
