Léo Ceará's two goals lead to a 2-0 victory over Tokyo V and four consecutive wins to open the season!
On Matchday 4 of the 2026/27 Meiji Yasuda J1 League, Antlers faced Tokyo Verdy at Ajinomoto Stadium.
It was an away game for Antlers, who came into it with three consecutive league wins. A large number of Antlers family members once again gathered at Ajinomoto Stadium, sending passionate cheers to the pitch. Antlers, keen to extend their winning streak, started aggressively, overwhelming Tokyo V. In the 4th minute, Elber, who started the game, broke through after a one-two with Léo Ceará, immediately creating a decisive chance, as Antlers pressed towards Tokyo V's goal with linked movements from the front line.
Then, in the 42nd minute, the game finally came alive. From a counter-attack in their own half, Elber surged forward, and Léo Ceará ultimately struck a well-aimed shot into Tokyo V's goal, giving Antlers the lead. With a crucial goal just before halftime, Antlers went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Antlers' momentum continued into the second half. In the 50th minute, Ogawa sent the ball into the goalmouth from a left corner kick, and Ueda headed it back. Finally, Léo Ceará scored again, making it 2-0. Theエース's second goal of the day effectively sealed the match.
Antlers completely controlled the game thereafter. They maintained possession, mainly through Shibasaki and Matheus Bueno, and even when Tokyo V gained possession, Antlers quickly regained it with swift transitions. After the 70-minute mark, Antlers increasingly pushed forward unilaterally, giving Tokyo V no opportunity for a comeback.
Manager Oniki brought on Misao and Cavric in the 73rd minute. Cavric, immediately after coming on, unleashed a decisive shot, as Antlers continued to push for a third goal until the very end.
In defense, the backline, led by Ueda and Sekigawa, showed a stable performance. They kept Tokyo V's attack at bay throughout the match, not conceding a goal for the full 90 minutes.
Ultimately, the match ended 2-0. With Léo Ceará's two goals and a clean sheet, Antlers achieved four consecutive wins to open the season.

天気があまり良くないなかでしたけれども、多くのサポーターに集まっていただいて、最後まであと押ししていただいたことに感謝しています。選手には、スタートから最後まで集中力を切らすことなくプレーするように伝えて送り出しましたが、そういう意思を感じるゲームだったと思います。欲をいえば3点目、4点目を決めたかったですが、全員がハードワークしてくれた良いゲームだったと思います。
Q.エウベル選手について
A.先日の天皇杯で、カテゴリーは違う相手ですけれども、相手に関係なく彼らしいプレーがありましたし、メンバーに入れないなかでも、腐ることなくやり続けた結果だと思います。今日のようなガツガツくる相手に対して、彼のような外せる選手がいると大きな力になってくれると思っていましたが、想像以上に活躍してくれました。良いパフォーマンスをしてくれたと思います。
Q.シーズン開幕から連勝が続いている要因は？
A.総合力かなと思っています。誰が出ても「鹿島らしく戦おう」という強い意思を全員から感じます。チーム内の競争においても、対戦相手ごとの戦略的な部分もあったりして、そういう意味でいうと調子が良くても先発から外れることもありますが、そういうことを全員がしっかり理解して戦えています。出場時間ではなく、自分が出たときにしっかりと結果を残そうとする集団になってきていると思いますので、そこがまずひとつの要因だと思っています。あとは徐々に徐々にですけれども、選手の体の強さ、メンタルの強さがついてきているのかなと思います。
応援してくださっているサポーターをはじめとした方々に、勝利を届けられなかったのは非常に申し訳ないし、悔しい。おのおのの選手がピークを迎えつつある鹿島に対して、成長しながら勝ち点を積み上げなくてはいけない我々としては、ある程度抑えられることは覚悟していた。失点のところは、選手たちは一生懸命やってるということで終わらすことはできない。必死でやるというのは、駆け引きも含めたプレーだと思うので、「一生懸命にやりました」だけでは足りない。どこかでひとつ駆け引きが上回っていれば避けられた失点だった。後半は、ゲームを決めにくる鹿島に対して、選手たちに具体的な指示を出して送り出すべきだったし、伝えきれなかった自分の問題だと思っている。

今日は相手にほとんど決定機を作らせず、理想的な試合の進め方ができた。守備陣としては、相手に攻撃のチャンスを作らせなかったことが一番大きいと思う。とはいえ、まだ改善点はあるので、守備の精度をもっと高めていきたい。
【レオ セアラ】
1点目はスピード、2点目はセットプレーという、どちらもチームの特徴が生かせたゴールだった。ゴール後のパフォーマンスについては、一昨日に次女が生まれたので、試合前からチームメートと計画していた。彼女にゴールを捧げられたこと、さらに自分の2ゴールでチームが勝利したことを、非常にうれしく思う。
