On Friday, May 5th (holiday), we held the [Kitchen Sumireya CUP U-9 Futsal Tournament] at Tsukuba Academy Center.
The weather was beautiful on the day, allowing us to hold the tournament in a wonderful environment.
● Tournament Regulations
Futsal (5 players including goalkeeper), kick-in method, 8-minute halves, 12 teams divided into 3 groups, with position-based league matches held after the preliminaries to determine the winner.

As this tournament was played under futsal rules, many players were initially confused, but they quickly got used to the rules, and we even saw players discussing the rules among themselves.
Although the temperature was a little high for May and the artificial turf field felt hot, the players played energetically and passionately.

Lunch was provided by Kitchen Sumireya.

The players ate lunch during their break.
In the afternoon, not only the final league that determined the winner, but all matches were fiercely contested.

Before the awards ceremony, Coach Masuda, an Antlers school coach, performed freestyle for all the participating players.
After that, the "PHOENIX CHEERLEADERS," a cheerleading team based in Tsukuba City, added excitement to the tournament.
And then the awards ceremony.
Mr. Chiba from Kitchen Sumireya presented the awards for second place and first place.

Second Place: Yawara SSS
