The second matchday of the Prince Takamado Trophy JFA U-18 Football Premier League 2024 EAST, and the home opener, was held at the Ibaraki Prefectural Kashima Soccer Stadium against Ichiritsu Funabashi High School.
With no changes from the starting lineup of Matchday 1, Kashima Antlers Youth began the match at a good pace.
They continued to play with high intensity and pressed hard for a goal, but could not convert their chances. Defensively, they didn't allow a single shot from the opponent, and the first half ended scoreless.
Even after the start of the second half, Kashima Youth maintained the initiative with pressure from the front line. In the 66th minute, Yoshida (40) was fouled in the penalty area and earned a penalty kick. Yoshida calmly converted the penalty he earned, scoring the opening goal.
