Academy Report

Kashima Antlers Junior Youth departed for Shanghai, China on August 5th to participate in the YOUTH INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE CUP. They are scheduled to return on August 13th.

Eight teams are participating in this tournament.

Group A
Athletico Paranaense (Brazil), Anderlecht (Belgium), Kashima Antlers, Shanghai Port (China)
Group B
Wolverhampton (England), S.T.FC (Japan), Hubei FC (China), Cerezo Osaka (Japan)

After gathering at Narita Airport, Captain Okano addressed the parents, expressing the team's determination.Afterward, they checked in and departed.

Shanghai's time difference is -1 hour, and they arrived at Shanghai Pudong Airport around 5:40 PM local time.



The temperature and humidity felt similar to Japan.

They traveled from the airport by bus. Due to traffic congestion, it took about two hours to arrive at their hotel accommodation, where they immediately had dinner.Since many countries are participating, the food was served buffet-style, including not only Chinese cuisine but also dishes that would be easy for players from various countries to eat.



Everyone actively ate in preparation for the matches starting the day after tomorrow.

Today, after dinner, there were no meetings, and they went to bed at 10 PM.

Tomorrow, they will conduct training from 9 AM according to a schedule that simulates a match day, and in the evening, a reception and coaches' meeting are scheduled.
