Before departure, Captain Ogura (Tsukuba JY 2nd year) made a statement of determination in front of many families. Some players also used the time before departure to confirm the precautions in the "travel guide" distributed in advance and to set their tour goals.
The team departed Narita Airport on time at 2 PM, and after approximately a 3-hour flight, they arrived at Shanghai Pudong Airport at 4 PM local time.
Upon arrival, they were greeted by the interpreter from the host team of the tournament. After exchanging greetings, the players took a commemorative photo. Afterward, they traveled to their accommodation by the provided bus, arriving at the venue at 7:30 PM after about a 2-hour bus ride.
At the dinner venue after arrival, players from other teams participating in the same tournament were present. Some players were immediately seen approaching and talking to foreign players.
The team had a meeting after dinner and went to bed at 10 PM.
