South Korean Expedition (August 18)

We were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the final tournament, so today we played a friendly match.

The weather was good and the temperature was comfortable from the morning, but we were hit by strong winds.

Today, after waking up, we took a walk and did exercises before breakfast.

From the start of the first half, we pressed hard, but we couldn't win the ball as we wanted. We were mostly saved by the opponent's mistakes. In attack, we couldn't develop plays due to simple passing errors after winning the ball.

However, as time passed, we started winning more challenges in midfield, creating more opportunities to win the ball, and then created chances by dribbling.

In the 20th minute of the first half, Komura's cross from the flank led to Saka and Ota, who then crossed the ball. Nakayama tapped in Ishido's dummy to score the opening goal. It was a superb goal.

Furthermore, in the 25th minute of the first half, Ebisawa's cross from the left side was met by Ishido's brilliant header, adding another goal. There was also a decisive chance for a third goal, but we couldn't convert it, and we finished the first half with a 2-0 lead.

We made 4 substitutions at halftime and started the second half.

There was also a water break in between.

In the second half, our opponent also made substitutions and came out aggressively. We also struggled at times, pushed back by the opponent's pressure when playing against the wind, but we managed to limit them to just one goal from a long throw-in and secure the win.

After the match, as the winning team, Coach Nemoto and Captain Fukuhara were interviewed.

We returned to the hotel for lunch at 1 PM, and in the evening, we went to watch a match.

It was Real Betis, who we lost to yesterday, against Santos.

Both teams showed a strong desire to win, and there were many things to learn from the game.

To create time to discuss and compare the differences with ourselves using video, we held a meeting after dinner to review, and thus concluded the 8th day's activities.
