Spain Expedition (March 27)

Since today's match started at 11:00 AM, we had breakfast a little later than usual. We left the hotel after breakfast.

It was a very cold morning with strong winds. There is a significant temperature difference between the morning and midday.

We also played at this venue last year, and we warmed up on the dirt ground. The changing rooms were not available, so we prepared outside. The venue has an artificial turf ground, and two matches were being played simultaneously.

MUNDIALITO 2018 Preliminary League Match 3 Results
vs CEFB Costa Daurada (local Spanish club team)
First Half: 3-0, Second Half: 5-0, Total: 8-0

<Starting Lineup>
GK: Matsumoto, FP: Miyoshi, Tokuda, Tanaka, Tsuchiya, Kawamura, Kiuchi
SUB: Hatanaka, Ogasawara, Shiba, Sato, Miyazawa

In the first half, we were playing against the wind, and the opponent frequently used long feeds from their goalkeeper. We maintained possession and switched sides, but the opponent played with a defensive formation from the start.

However, in the 2nd minute, Tanaka picked up a loose ball from a cross from the right and scored the opening goal with a superb left-footed shot. After that, we created decisive chances, but we couldn't score as shots went straight to the goalkeeper or were saved by his fine saves.

We couldn't score until late in the first half, but in the end, Kiuchi scored back-to-back goals through individual skill, and we finished the first half with a 3-0 lead.

We ended with a 3-goal lead and started the second half with a change in members. In the second half, with the wind at our backs, we aimed for a large number of goals, making sure not to misjudge when to connect passes and when to go for a long shot.

We traveled by bus from the match venue and arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon. After lunch, we did laundry, filled out our itineraries and soccer notebooks, and organized our belongings.

We had a meeting before dinner and reviewed footage of Sporting's performance in last year's tournament.
