Academy Report

Following last year's participation, we are once again taking part in the United Jeugd Cup 2017, held in the Netherlands on August 19th and 20th, with our U-12 School selection team (Jeugd means youth in Dutch).

We have been invited to this tournament since 2013.
2013: Participated with a combined team from Kashima and Tsukuba Junior.
2014, 2015: Participated with Tsukuba Junior.
2016, 2017: Participated with the School selection team.

Each year, there are 16 teams divided into 4 groups, and the top two teams from each group advance to the upper league.

On Friday, August 18th, we departed from Narita on a flight to Amsterdam and arrived in Amsterdam at 3:00 PM local time.


We trained at the tournament venue for the next day.After training, a reception was held for the participating teams.
Homemade dishes prepared by volunteer staff from the host team, JSV Nieuwegein, were served.
They always give us a warm welcome.We interacted with players from FC Lugano (Switzerland), who are participating for the first time this year.
Although we couldn't speak the same language, they quickly became friends through gestures.
