First Event! Adult Retreat Report

A training camp for adults was held at Tsukuba Academy Center for 2 days and 1 night on Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th. Participants included the general public, guardians of children enrolled in the school, and members of the adult course at Tsukuba School. They completed a rigorous training menu, almost identical to that required for obtaining a coaching license.

Participant comments:
・Both the training and the lecture were very interesting and informative.
・It was my first time training so professionally.
・Listening to the club's history and philosophy made me love Kashima even more.
・It was harder than expected... I can't say anything to my kids anymore...
・In the final game, my mind was clear after the training, and it became easier to play. Practice is important, isn't it?

Coach Uedahara's comment:
"After three training sessions, in the final game, the quality of individual play and thinking, as well as the group's performance, were extremely high. Not only their play, but also their coaching voices became more specific, and everyone showed a strong awareness of being involved in the game. When I coach adults, I always feel that they understand things more quickly than children, so what they learn in training can be immediately applied in their play. I believe that you can improve in soccer no matter your age. All the staff are looking forward to being able to hold a second session."
