The first match was held in Spain, a neighboring country, after a 30-minute bus ride and crossing a border bridge. Due to the time difference, the match started at 9 AM in Portugal and 10 AM in Spain. The stadium was the home stadium of the opposing team, CD SanDiego, making it an away game.

Kashima starting lineup: Koki Numata, Yuto Koide, Shota Iwama, Shuma Ishihara, Fushin Owa, Hiro Oyama, Uta Yamaguchi
Substitutes: Shuto Seki, Harumu Sumi, Reo Koarashi
Goal scorers: Yuto Koide, Fushin Owa, Hiro Oyama, Harumu Sumi

Coach Kotani's comment: "We took an early 2-0 lead in the first half and controlled the game, but we conceded goals from unthinkable mistakes right before halftime and early in the second half, putting ourselves in a difficult position. However, we scored immediately after they equalized and managed to get an additional goal. Although we won, it was a game with many mistakes, even without much pressure from the opponent."

Coach Kotani's comment: "We took an early lead in the first half and then added more goals, allowing us to play calmly. In the second half, all players fought well, and we continued to score. The performance of players who had less playing time so far was also notable, and as a team, we were able to finish a game without conceding a goal for the first time here. It was a game where we felt that, although slightly, we were improving on our previous issues."
