Kashima Antlers Youth won the final match 2-1 at the clubhouse ground, finishing the league in second place.
Match 22 of the Prince Takamado Trophy JFA U-18 Football Premier League 2024 EAST saw Kashima Antlers Youth face Shoshi High School at their home ground, the Kashima Antlers Clubhouse Ground.

Kashima Antlers Youth had lost 0-2 to Yokohama FC Youth in the previous match, dropping from first to third place on goal difference, despite having the same number of points before the final match.
This match was a tense affair where victory was essential for Kashima Youth to advance to the finals and for Shoshi High School to avoid relegation. An atmosphere of tension hung over the clubhouse ground.

Kashima Youth displayed aggressive football from the start. Shoshi High School also maintained an attacking stance, leading to a fierce back-and-forth battle.

Subsequently, Kashima Youth held possession for longer periods and pushed towards the goal, but the opponent's strong defensive line made it difficult to score.

With chances for both sides, in the 45th minute of the first half, 32 Hirashima broke free from a through pass. He then calmly slotted the ball into the goal with his right foot, giving Kashima Youth a 1-0 lead at halftime.
At the start of the second half, the opponent launched a spirited attack, but 14 Nakagawa, who broke through behind the defense, was fouled by the opposing goalkeeper, earning a penalty kick.
Nakagawa, who won the penalty, took the kick himself and calmly placed it into the right corner, extending the lead to 2-0.

With news from other venues indicating a need for more goals to secure the championship, Kashima Youth pushed forward. However, their attacking efforts left them vulnerable on the right flank, leading to a conceded goal in the 77th minute, making it 2-1.

Even in the final moments, they continued to aggressively press for a goal, but the match ended 2-1.
Kashima Youth finished this season's Premier League EAST with 13 wins, 2 draws, and 7 losses, accumulating 41 points. They tied for first place in points but finished in second place due to a goal difference of 2.

Although this was the last battle for this team, the influence that the third-year players, led by captain 7 Sato, had on the younger players throughout the season was significant.
The baton will be passed to the next generation, and new battles will begin.
