We regret to announce that on Thursday, August 12, one school coach at the Kashima Antlers Tsukuba Academy Center tested positive for COVID-19.
The coach developed a headache and fever on the evening of Tuesday, August 10, and tested positive after a PCR test on the 12th. Following this, all other staff at the Tsukuba Academy Center underwent antigen testing on the 12th, and all tested negative, with no symptoms such as poor health or fever observed.
As a result of the local public health center's investigation to identify close contacts, it was determined that there were no close contacts among the Tsukuba Academy Center staff or school students, and there will be no changes to future activities. The entire facility underwent alcohol disinfection on the 11th.
The club will further strengthen its existing COVID-19 countermeasures and will ensure that all relevant parties are once again informed and thoroughly implement infection prevention measures.
