Announcement of the schedule for the JFA Vermont Cup 35th All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship

We are pleased to announce the overview and match schedule for the "JFA Vermont Cup 35th All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship" in which Tsukuba Junior will participate.

Please show your support for Tsukuba Junior as they fight on the national stage after winning the Ibaraki Prefectural Qualifiers!

First Round

Tournament Overview

Tournament Format
(1)First Round
The 48 participating teams will be divided into 12 groups of four teams, and a league format will be played.
Teams from the same prefecture will not play against each other in the same group.

(2)Final Round
The 1st place teams from each group in the first round and the top four 2nd place teams, totaling 16 teams, will compete in a knockout format to determine the champion down to 3rd place (no 3rd place playoff match will be held).
Teams from the same group in the first round will not play against each other in the Round of 16.

Match Format
(1)First Round
The playing time will be 16 minutes (two periods of 8 minutes each), with a halftime interval of 3 minutes (from the end of the first period to the start of the second period).

(2)Final Round
The playing time will be 20 minutes (two periods of 10 minutes each), with a halftime interval of 5 minutes (from the end of the first period to the start of the second period).

Method for Determining Winner/Loser (if no winner is decided within regulation time)
・First Round: Draw
・Final Round (excluding the final match): Winner/loser will be decided by penalty shootout. The interval before the penalty shootout will be 1 minute.
・Final: An extra time of 6 minutes (two periods of 3 minutes each) will be played, and if no winner is decided, the winner/loser will be determined by penalty shootout. The interval before extra time will be 5 minutes, and the interval before the penalty shootout will be 1 minute.

The 48 participating teams will be selected as follows:
(1)One team from each of the 47 prefectural football associations
(2)One team from the prefecture with the most participating teams in the previous tournament's qualifiers (Hokkaido)
