J1 Matchday 19: FC Tokyo Match Event Report

Here's a report on the events held on Wednesday, August 1st, the day of the J1 Matchweek 19 game against FC Tokyo.

[Family Join Day]
Family Join Day is an annual event, but this season it was held for the first time during summer vacation. Various events took place on the concourse, and Nakata C.R.O and players not in the squad also participated.

Hometowns Join In
The mascots from the five hometown cities gathered and welcomed spectators at the entrance gates. Some people shook hands and high-fived them.

Hometown booths were set up on the main stand concourse, distributing local specialties from Kashima City, Kamisu City, Itako City, Namegata City, and Hokota City, attracting many supporters. Players Ito, Endo, and Kawamata also came to show their support.

Kashima Jingu Shrine Joins In
Ema (votive tablets) for victory prayers from Kashima Jingu Shrine were displayed, and participants wrote down their wishes for victory on paper strips. Players Yamaguchi and Oki participated.

Family Join Train Operation
The Family Join train, featuring Shikao-kun's head mark, operated between Kashima-Jingu Station and Mito Station on the Kashima Rinkai Railway.

Nakata C.R.O hosted a talk show on the concourse main stage with players Uchida and Kubota.

J.League TEAM AS ONE Donation Drive for the "July 2018 Heavy Rains"
Players not in the squad, excluding those with injuries, conducted a donation drive to aid those affected by the disaster.

First-come, first-served "Chicken Ramen" attendance gift
As Chicken Ramen, the world's first instant ramen, celebrates its 60th anniversary on August 25th, we gave away Chicken Ramen to the first 10,060 attendees as a commemorative gift for its 60th anniversary.

"Chicken Ramen Hiyoko-chan" Joins In
Hiyoko-chan, the mascot, also joined Kashima for the first time to cheer us on.

"Chicken Ramen Hiyoko-chan" Kick Target
For this match only, the Antlers Kick Target was decorated with Chicken Ramen and Hiyoko-chan. The first 200 participants received a "Chicken Ramen Mini Bowl" as a participation prize, and the first 20 participants who scored 60 points or more received a "Chicken Ramen with Ingredients 3-pack Akuma no Kimula".

The first 600 attendees who came for "Ibaraki Kids Special Days" and with "Hometown Kids Pass" received a "Chicken Ramen Mini (3 servings)".

[Attendance Gift Project "Shika BIG"]
A prize lottery was held exclusively for stadium attendees.

This time, Sekisho Shoji Co., Ltd. awarded a 100L fuel service ticket and a hand car wash ticket, while Mercari awarded 5,000 Mercari points to 10 people. The five hometown cities each awarded a 10,000 yen assortment of local specialties to one person, for a total of five winners. Nissin Foods awarded a commemorative prize set for Chicken Ramen's 60th anniversary, and Showa Sangyo, which will hold the "SHOWA Excite Match" on Sunday, August 19th, against Yokohama F. Marinos, awarded autographed player merchandise as the Showa Sangyo Award.

Popular jumbo tsukune (chicken meatballs) and spare ribs were sold.

Before the match, a send-off ceremony was held for Kashima Antlers Junior, who will participate in the JFA Vermont Cup 28th All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship.
